ITM Priority Card Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions for the Priority Card (“Card”) carefully. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions, you should not proceed any further with the application for a Card.
Application and membership
Application for and membership of the Card programme is free.
If you do not wish to receive information about ITM’s products and services, you should not apply for this Card.
Only individuals may apply to become Card holders. Any individual who becomes a Card holder agrees to be bound by these Card terms and conditions, as varied from time to time. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms and conditions of an ITM store and these Card terms and conditions, the Card terms and conditions shall prevail.
Your Card and its use
You can enrol in the Card programme either on-line (www.itm.co.nz) or pick up an application form from any of our participating ITM stores.
Your Card will be issued within 12 days of receiving your application. ITM reserves the right to refuse any application for a Card without giving any reason.
The Card may be used by you and any other person(s) you permit to use your Card. By using or permitting another person to use your Card, you and the person using your Card will each be taken to have affirmed your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions as varied from time to time.
You must present the Card at a participating store in order to receive the Card benefits. Failure to produce the Card may result in you not receiving the Card benefits. If you misplace or lose your card and wish to receive a replacement card you should notify the ITM Support Office. We will endeavour to provide you with a replacement card within 12 days of notification.
You should notify us of any change to your contact details once you have received your Card. You may either update your contact details directly via our website (www.itm.co.nz) or by contacting the webmaster by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
Your Card is not transferable and remains the property of ITM. It may not be copied or reproduced.
A Card holder may present his or her Card at participating ITM stores nationwide to receive rewards such as discounts on goods.
Rewards may only be obtained in person at a participating ITM store by producing your Card.
Every ITM store nationwide is independently owned and operated and each reserves the right not to participate in the Card programme. Each store has sole discretion in respect of any discounts or rewards they might offer through the Card programme. Discounts and rewards may differ from store to store and are subject to change.
ITM makes no representations or guarantees in relation to discounts, if any, available at any ITM store.

ITM may terminate a membership of the Card programme, without notice and for any reason, including if the Card holder:
- fails to comply with these terms and conditions
- copies or reproduces a Card
- abuses any privilege accorded to the Card holder under the Card programme
- dies or becomes bankrupt.
A Card holder may at any time terminate his or her membership by giving written notice to the ITM Support Office or unsubscribing from the Card programme online at www.itm.co.nz (via the Card section).
In addition, ITM may at any time suspend or terminate the Card programme without prior notice. ITM may provide notice of any cancellation of the Card programme on our website. ITM is not liable for:
- any delay in replacing a Card or for any unauthorised use of a Card
- any reward not being available for any reason
- the suspension or termination of the Card programme.
Under the Privacy Act 1993 we advise that:
The application process for Cards, both on-line and in-store, collects personal information about you including your name, address, telephone numbers, how much you spend in our stores, lifestyle information and any other information collected in relation to your use of our products and services (“Information”). Information will be collected by ITM and held at ITM’s Support Office in Auckland.
The intended recipients of the Information are ITM and Transacting Shareholders of ITM (each an “ITM Store”). Your Information may be held and used by us for a number of purposes connected with ITM’s business operations and functions including:
- processing your application
- helping us to provide you with our products and services
- improving our service
- carrying out market and product analysis and marketing our products generally
- contacting you (including by post, email, fax, text messages or telephone) about ITM’s products and services which we think may be of interest to you.
Each Card holder consents to the collection and use of their personal and other information in the manner set out above and the disclosure of such information to ITM Stores and selected service providers for the purposes of operating the Card programme and to provide information about ITM’s products and services. Information about Card holders will not be provided by ITM to any person except as provided in this section.
You have the right to access, correct or update your details at any time. If you wish to update your details you may do so on-line at www.itm.co.nz (click on the Card link) or in writing to ITM’s Support Office. Details cannot be updated at any ITM Store.
We may change, add to, delete or replace these terms and conditions from time to time. The current terms and conditions are set out on our website. A printed copy of the current terms and conditions may be requested from the ITM Support Office.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Thomsons ITM collects limited personal information that personally identifies you (“Personal Information”) such as: (i) name, mailing and email addresses; (ii) residential address, city, state, postcode, area code, gender, age, purchase history, date and place of purchase. If you communicate with us by e-mail, or complete online forms, surveys or contest entries, any information provided in such communication may be collected as Personal Information. For example, we may request personal information from you when you:
- Contact us for further information;
- Participate in surveys and other types of research;
- Enter a promotion,
- Subscribe to our mailing list;
- Register your details on our website;
- Ask for a quote to be prepared;
- Express interest in a particular product or service
OTHER INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
For statistical purposes, we collect anonymous information on web site activity (such as top pages viewed, the number of pages viewed, the number of sessions, most popular session times). We use this data to evaluate our web site performance and to improve the content we display to you.
To evaluate the effectiveness of our online advertising (including click-throughs from email marketing), we may use third parties to collect statistical data. No personal information is collected on these occasions.
Thomsons ITM may use tracking technologies such as cookies to recognise your browser each time it visits our site, and to track which pages you visit whilst on our site. We may use this information to optimize our site and create a better online experience for you.
Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to a computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Most web browsers are set to accept tracking technologies such as cookies. These tracking technologies do not themselves personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s browser. However, if you do not wish to receive any cookies, you may set your browser to refuse them.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Thomsons ITM uses your information to better understand your exact needs and provide you with better service. Thomsons ITM may share your Personal Information amongst related bodies corporate of Thomsons ITM.
Thomsons ITM may also use your Personal Information:
- to deal with your queries or customer service issues promptly whether by email, telephone or mail. We may also keep information on your communications with our customer service representatives.
- to keep you up-to-date with products, services, events or promotions we think would be of particular interest through a variety of channels. You will be able to “opt-out” from this activity at any time.
- to enhance your customer experience and help us complete your transactions faster.
- for planning, product development or research purposes.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will only send Personal Information to third party organisations when:
- we have your consent to share the information;
- we need to share your information in order to provide the product or service you have requested;
- we need to send your information to companies that are contracted to Thomsons ITM, e.g. mailing houses, IT service providers, service providers (e.g. assemblers, repairers), web developers, marketing agencies, finance companies; or
- we are required or authorised by law to disclose the information.
Such information remains under Thomsons ITM custodianship at all times and the agents involved are bound by specific confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
ACCESS AND CORRECTION
You can have access to the personal information we hold about you. Our goal is to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. To assist us with this, please contact our Privacy Officer if any of the details you have provided change. Further, if you believe that the information we have about you is not accurate, contact us and we will use all reasonable efforts to correct the information. A $25 administration fee will be charged for the retrieval of personal information to cover our costs. No fee applies to the correction of personal information.
